In 2025 — their 33rd year in operation — Kapnos initiated what they describe as a "large scale digital transformation initiative that will enable a new decade of firsts in Cyprus." eCoachManager was selected as the platform at the centre of that transformation, covering every service line and every booking channel from a single system.

Airport shuttles, school transfers, touristic B2B, corporate bookings, private charter, and ad hoc rides — each with distinct pricing, booking channels, and operational workflows. Managing these across disconnected tools created overhead, inconsistency, and limited visibility across the business.

Multiple Booking Channels to Serve Simultaneously
Kapnos needed to serve walk-in passengers at airport stations, online customers via their website, B2B tour operators submitting manifests, and staff selling tickets in the field — all feeding into the same operational system, in real time, without duplication or conflict.

With 100+ daily departures, 200+ vehicles, and ambitions to integrate with global OTA platforms (GetYourGuide, Viator), Kapnos needed a modern, scalable platform — not a like-for-like replacement. The goal was a digital core that could grow with the business.

This was a greenfield digital transformation — Kapnos set out to build an operational core from scratch that could handle booking, dispatch, payments, driver management, and reporting across every service line, for the first time, on a single platform.

Phase 1 — Core Platform (Jun → 15 Sep 2025)
Full requirements gathered across all service types. Booking engine, station portal, JCC payments, thermal ticket printing, driver app, and trip reporting built and tested. Staff trained. Platform went live 15 September 2025 — all booking channels operational from day one.
Phase 2 — Field Operations (Dec 2025 → ongoing)
Airport kiosk deployed live 7 April 2026 — self-service tap-to-pay at Larnaca Airport. Handheld POS, passenger boarding checklist, automated refunds, and multiple driver allocation actively in development. Each feature is scoped, built, and deployed independently without disrupting live operations.
Phase 3 — OTA & Growth (TBC 2026)
GetYourGuide, Viator, Cypriot payroll and accounting integrations in planning. ECM actively scoping Phase 3 requirements with Marios and the Kapnos team — the partnership model means Phase 3 is being shaped now, not after Phase 2 closes.
