Leeds Retains Appetite for Mass Transit Plans

News coming out of the UK in December surrounding mass transit plans for Leeds.

Despite losing it's battle to introduce a trolleybus type system, Leeds local council remain committed to investments around it's own "mass transit service".

Key focus will be around enhancing existing park and ride provisions, with more than £110 Million earmarked to be invested in a wide range of infrastructure improvements.

Council Leader Judith Blake has challenged everyone to get behind the potential new scheme for Leeds, “To bring about such a scheme must remain the ambition so we are calling on all key partners and everyone in the city to work together to secure the very significant amount of funding we need.” - from busandcoach.com website
